McNair Scholars Program
APPLY NOW FOR THE 2009-2010 McNAIR SCHOLARS PROGRAM
The University of Florida McNair Scholars Program is currently accepting applications. The McNair Scholars Program exists to support undergraduate college students from low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented backgrounds in their progress toward a Ph.D. As a result of their participation in the McNair program, participants will have the opportunity to:
• Conduct their own research with a faculty mentor
• Receive a $2,900 research stipend
• Get assistance with the graduate application and financial aid processes
• Present and publish their research
• Travel to national research and professional conferences

Dr. McNair, a NASA Astronaut, was killed in the Challenger space Shuttle explosion on January 28, 1986.
The deadline for Applications is January 31, 2009.
