What do you think set you apart to become NSBE Member of the Month? I think what really set me apart from others was my genuine attitude. I feel that people see that I care for this organization and hope to see it flourish.

What is your biggest piece of advice for other NSBE members? Get Involved! GET involved!! GET INVOLVED!!! That's the biggest piece of advice I can offer. The more involvement, the more success NSBE will see.

What are your future goals for NSBE? For now, my goals are near and few. I'd like to eventually become Historian, and from there I'll possibly consider running for a higher position if I truly feel I should.

What do you think set you apart to become NSBE Member of the Month? I believe my charisma, my connectedness to the members, and my willingness to freely serve this amazing organization afforded me the opportunity to become member of the month. Moreover, my passion for putting my best foot forward in every situation played a huge role in me receiving this humbling reward.

What is your biggest piece of advice for other NSBE members? The greatest advice I can lend to my fellow NSBE counterparts would be to serve as if you'd never have the opportunity to do it again, respect the legacy of this organization and continue to build upon it, and finally, in all that you do remember to serve and reverence the Lord, for without him we as people and servant leaders could not exist.

What are your future goals for NSBE? In the near future I will serve on the committee for NSBE's End of the Year Banquet, to put my event planning skills to use and commemorate the UF chapter of NSBE's 30 year legacy. Next, I plan to run for Historian to creatively document and display NSBE's commitment to leadership, networking, and academic excellence. My ultimate goal is to fulfill the mission of NSBE by helping create quality programming from internal to campus and community wide affairs.

What set me apart? Honestly, I have no Idea. I felt all semester long, that I wasn't doing enough. Rob, Derrious, and Isabella always encouraged and thanked me for completing certain tasks, but I always thought they were just being nice because I believe those tasks I completed this semester were miniscule compared to the task many of the Board Members take on. However, I will forever hold this promise to NSBE, that whatever I do for the organization, I will always put forth 110% of effort.

Biggest piece of advice: Just put forth maximum effort in whatever you commit to no matter how big or small the task may be.

Future goals for NSBE: I would like to increase the awareness of NSBE among the student body as well as showing others that NSBE provides great opportunities for students at the University, whether they?re future engineers or not.

What set me apart? Taking initiative and stepping up if no one else could.

Biggest piece of advice: If you have the time and the heart, get involved with somewhere in NSBE and have fun with it! These folks are crazy. Also, GO to conference. Not a suggestion, that's a demand.

Future goals for NSBE: Hopefully aid in developing a chapter in Haiti and in other countries.

Carter managed the planning and preparation for the Kittleson & Associates, Inc. information session. KAI provides transportation planning, engineering, and research services to government agencies, municipalities, and private organizations. Carter spoke directly with company representatives in order to promote UFNSBE and encourage those representatives to visit the organization during Spring 2009.

What are your personal goals for UFNSBE? Accomplish all the goals that we set as a chapter by raising a lot of money. Also, to attract more members to the Finance Zone.

Thoughts on the benefits of getting involved in the E-Board If you're training for the future, you eventually become a natural at it.

What do you think set you apart to become NSBE Member of the Month? The fact that I stepped out of the shadow and decided it was time for me to start doing something positive with myself and for the NSBE community.

What is your biggest piece of advice for other NSBE members? Don't be afraid to try, because if you don't you will never how much of an impact you would have had on your environment.

What are your future goals for NSBE? To take advantage of the different things that NSBE has to offer me and then apply whatever skills and qualities that I have obtained in my everyday lifestyle, in order to reach out to those that are afraid of stepping out of their shadow.

What do you think set you apart to become NSBE Member of the Month? My hard work and dedication in publications and writing articles. Even though I was just a general body member, I was very active in communications zone in tabling, writing articles with Robert, and recruiting other members.

What is your biggest piece of advice for other NSBE members? I feel that time management and dedication is the biggest thing in college; if you are dedicated then you will succeed. Any member can do exactly what I did my freshman year.

What are your future goals for NSBE? To increase the membership, start a street team, and make it a major part of NSBE. I would also like NSBE to be friends with other organizations outside of engineering so that their members can learn what NSBE is about.

What do you think set you apart to become NSBE Member of the Month? I was showing interest in NSBE by going a majority of the events, volunteering, and getting involved as much as possible.

What is your biggest piece of advice for other NSBE members? To get involved, get to know the black engineers, and gain friends that will help you in your classes. If you want internships, that is the way to get them.

What are your future goals for NSBE? I'd like to see more active members networking and getting opportunities to grow in terms of leadership, communication skills and win chapter of the year.
