The Membership Zone
Expansion and recruitment is a necessary component for all organizations.
The Membership Zone ensures the retention of current members and provides new members
in order to fulfill our mission of increasing the number of Black Engineers.
The Vice-President heads this zone. This Zone also contains the Chapter Membership Chair. The Membership Zone works closely with the Communication Zone to maintain efficiency of member recruitment and retention. Basically, they have to be congruent in terms of the message that they are communicating with others
The Membership Zone enhances member retention through member involvement, and activities. They also receive feedback from the general body in order to improve not just the Membership Zone, but the other zones as well. Membership is imperative for the existence of the UF-NSBE chapter. The Membership Zone is the welcoming hand which convinces outside engineers of the limitless opportunities of being a "NSBE'an".
